Surgeon Appointment, who to choose?!

The day has come and I have travelled down to London to see a surgeon to discuss Top Surgery. The luxury of going private is you get to choose your surgeon, something you don't get on the NHS, however at a big financial cost.

So I had my 2 diagnostic assessments and I have chosen 2 surgeons to see, paid the money to see them and everything is planned. I am aware I didn't need to get two appointments, but I want this surgery done so bad I wanted to ensure the appointments were closed together.

I travelled down to see Miss Victoria Rose , the 1st surgeon that ticked many boxes for me when choosing one. Firstly she is NOT fat phobic like some surgeons, she is female ( my preferred choice of surgeon) and pictures of her work I have seen. are good. I also learnt in researching her she had come back from Gaza and had been treating people over there and plans to return. A very ethical human.
So I attended the appointment, to be honest I was crapping myself, I became very emotional on the train and nearly cried, the time was here.
After a moment I gathered myself and left the train heading to the hospital where the consultation was due to . I arrived and soon after Miss V arrived, carrying her bags and a cup of tea.

She said she wouldn't be long, however as she went into her room her tea fell to the floor and went everywhere, staff all ran to her assistance to clear it up. It helped relax me as I saw her human side.

Miss V came and introduced herself and took me to her room.  We spoke about my journey and she was surprised I'm 51, that was nice.
My chest had to be checked out so off comes the shirt and binder. Measurements of chest taken and a discussion about the type of op she would do.
I was impressed how she said she would ensure the 'dog ears' were addressed in surgery, as a larger person this is always a fear of a bulge under the armpit, she will take care of that instead of the need for revision surgery.

She explained I would be in overnight, the surgery would take 2 hours and I would be put into a binder after surgery and need to wear it for the 6 weeks recovery time that she suggests I have off work.

She showed me pictures of people she had done and spoke about nipples or no nipples. She showed me 3d tattoo artist she uses and I decided for no nipples as the healing is better without.

We spoke about life, she showed me a picture of her dog, and I asked her about her career and she answered.

When you see a surgeon you never know what you are got to get, but omg she put me at ease and had such a nice bedside manner. I dont need the second appointment, I am going with Miss V.

Yes maybe I should have the second consultation, however, when it feels right why.
