Op update and pics- if you dare

The 12th November saw my top surgery

I was shown to my room and couldn't stop smiling. Bob is pictured with me.

Time came to get into my gown and stockings.

Ready for the fabulous Victoria Rose and her team to do their magic.
Drawn upon , ready to go. Documenting this process and my recovery is of huge importance to me. From here on in there will be post op pics shown .

Before walking to theatre I danced with Teddy in my room to some Robbie Williams. Very relaxed and ready for my life to begin further as me.

I walked down to the theatre, was met by the lovely Sandie and anesthetic team. I have no idea when I went under, I was laughing with them and before I knew it back in my room.
The surgery and recovering took just over 3 hrs from going down to back. I recall seeing Sandie in the room for a few seconds , with her saying stuff, but dont remember what was said or anything for a while.
I was just aware at this moment how flat I was. Well just over 1.5kg of material was taken, so yep that's gonna be flat. The face says it all.

I'm aware Teddy got me Ribena and coffee and the rest of the evening is a bit of a blur, with moments of clarity.
I would have to sleep in these lovely things , pressing on my legs to reduce clots. Not great for restful sleep. Did their job though.

As hours progressed I got more with it, ate the food, drank loads and saw my flat chest for the first time. What a moment.
Tomorrow would be the big reveal.

Sleep and discomfort was eased by some morphine, but apprt from that it's just been paracetamol.
The pain feels like I've been punched in chest or overworked in gym type feeling. You can't over stretch as the body won't allow. The gurgling from some fluid build up is weird but common as I don't have drains, but should be reabsorbed by body.

The morning after surgery Victoria Rose came in at 8am to see the results and show me. She was not sure if she had got the dog ears fully but after inspection was very happy.

       PICTURE WARNING ....

Yep I have no nipples and dog ears have been removed. Some additional bleeding occurred so blue bandages went back on under binder.

The binder/ compression garment, has to be worn 23.5 hrs a day. This is to enable healing and reduce swelling.
Right now I sound as if I have a hot water bottle under my skin, with the movement of liquid. I was advised it was ok but if swells or gets hot and painful to call.

So that's me this far, just over 24 hrs after surgery. Updates and progress to follow.
Any questions, happy to answer.
